About Me

I am a full time working mom of two crazy and amazing little boys and wife to a very patient and loving man. I am also a runner. I have always had a passion for fitness, pursuing a degree in sports medicine and a graduate degree in exercise physiology, but I wasn’t always a runner. During graduate school I entered my first 5k and ran a couple other 5k’s over the next several years. It wasn’t until I moved to South Eastern VA that I really got the racing bug. Since moving here 9 years ago, getting married, and having two children, I have run over 70 races and haven’t looked back. Today, I view running (and fitness in general) as something for me. It helps me keep my sanity.

I have raced all the distances except a full marathon and I am still not tackling that one this year.  I will age up this year, not sure how I feel about that.  Maybe that marathon will  happen before I age out of this one?!?! This year is about finding my love of running again, and hopefully improving my speed and avoiding injury!

This will be the fourth year of my little blog. It started as a way to keep me motivated and accountable and it still does.  I use it as an outlet to share my running stories, adventures in food, and life's moments. It has also connected me with so many other like minded bloggers, who have given me much inspiration. Thank you!
